It was a pleasure to find a Korean market in Corvallis, Oregon. This oriental store was clean and well-organized with so many different Asian foods including Kimchi and ramen. The owners are a married couple and very kind and nice.

Good service. Good inventory. Informed shop owner, small family business. Been going there for years. Will miss them when they retire. Until then I am their forever customer.

Nice owner, always friendly! I have been there since I first came to Corvallis as a international student. They have Thai food ingredients enough to make me feel like cooking Thai food at home.

Loved seeing things from back home in Hawaii! Plus it's way better than having to drive to Portland to see an Asian market

Fantastic selection for lots of Asian cuisines. I routinely pick up Chinese, Korean, and Japanese foods here and there is plenty of variety, especially when it comes to pickled foods and authentic seasonings. All veggies are fresh and the store is always clean. The owners are very nice people too! By the way, they make the best homemade kimchi ever.

I regret not coming here sooner, as I live in town but have often gone to Beaverton/Tigard for Asian groceries! I admit I never stopped by because it didn't seem like it would have much. But you'll find a lot of Korean, Vietnamese, Japanese, Thai grocery products that won't be found at the HK Market. I would hesitate to say they have limited selection, they pack a lot of stuff in this store and the brands seem solid and dependable. Their prices are also very reasonable, and nothing seems obviously overpriced here. They have a lot of produce and herbs that you cannot find in any other store in the area, like Vietnamese coriander (rau ram), perilla leaf, soybean sprouts, dried Indonesian bay leaves...just to name a few! The fresh produce quality seems good, nothing appears rotten or wilted from what I could see. I also like that vegetables are often packed in manageable sizes (which is great for one person or prepping for one meal). I will be back soon to try their house kimchi!

Rice n' Spice is a great little spot in North Corvallis. It's in an unassuming, slightly sketchy strip mall, but it's always clean&with a great selection. They're also cash-only, so it's not going to suffer from data breaches. If you need ginormous bags of rice, difficult to find ingredients that you can't find at WinCo, Trader Joe's, or Market of Choice, this is the place to go. This store is what got me hooked on Botan Rice Candy- http://www.candygurus.com/botan-rice-candy-1962-called-they-want-their-box-back/ Botan Rice Candy is one of those unicorns of the sweets world- like halvah, meringue, Russian paskha (Easter cheesecake), the fruit candies from Washington state's Liberty Orchards- it doesn't have chocolate, yet it's perfect. Rice N' Spice, like its name, provides the staples. If you need Sanrio/Hello Kitty or Lucky Cat merchandise, this is the place to go. If you need miso, fish sauce, freshly made kimchi, they've got it. The service is fast&friendly. One of Corvallis' hidden treasures.

Good homemade kimchi, with or without MSG options. Routinely made fresh, and ferments to perfection in a couple of days in the fridge. I think it's not using a rice paste method, and just salt and spices and maybe fish sauce, which is the way I make it (I sometimes add fermented shrimp). Good job. Prices are good to ok, some things a bit more than a larger Asian market (fave is HK market in Tigard), some less. Good deals on meat, at least thin sliced meat. They get stuff in a week later if you request something unusual! I made gamjatang a few times when I found pork neck bones here (and perilla powder!). Has most of my essentials in the brands I prefer, so they're picking good brands too.
